Bolt damage is high enough already !
Maybe it should be more on players who have above a certain amount of Hp (Say if the target has 30k+ hp maybe it should do more damage)

About shields for magic classes , it was planned to replace cleric\sm's weapons by
Shield & Mace (replacement for 2H staff) after the starting of the new server (Which has been cancelled ofc)

yeah we need more dmg on ca admin, its lame to bolt 500-1k on legends, when they hit u much more.
if ull tell me they got high def or pr. i also got high def and pr and i still die in 1 stun by them. and i bolt them so low.

and plz we need sp pots more than 150, like theres 1k hp pots , we need 1k sp pots. just to be fair cuz 150 is useless

Please shields for magic users admin its not fair that cruses n champs got 2 weapons and we only got 1 and and their equips give way more pr and def than ours thts also not fairrrr shields plsss : (

hahahahaha Don't worry you will not get your 2nd hand staff. Update is canceled. Only what you will get is maybe in ca is higher bolt on Legends, nothing other, so stop partying. xD

Magic classes in ca re weak... can't buff others and only TS's for themselves... legend crus, champ, ss 1 hit ppl and melee other legends 1k-4k per hit with 500+ aspd so comprare dmg's from magic class and melee class >_> can't realy compare... 1 hit from melee class is more then 1 bolt from magic class and i didn't even count in CD from bolt >_>

Jo and all clerics dnt hate me but .....
Admit other clases use 2 handed weapon but unlike clerics they cant forge their main gem in all their equips. Plus abt increasing bolt dameg in ca if u do that ul have to reduce their def cos in ca their sp gives them super high def best thingto do is let bolt ignore pr like it does in other maps other than ca

thats the problem, we forge spr gems everywhere but they hit more. so whats the use if we forge spr everywhere but it stay useless in ca? i wonder if bso was normal lke top that we forge spr only in staff how much would be bolt? 100 ? lol

and no, i already die in 1 o 2 stun in ca why would gm ake our def lower? none can deny that clerics r the worst class atm, none even choosing to b a cleric, we r just like hhmm 2-3 active clerics? and we have mall items thats why we can pk. normal clerics can do nothing.

lol 800... I conch 2k on legend crus... 1.2k on legend champ...
Legend voy with 2x conch and lightning should be able to pwn champ even if he sits not that his HP doesn't even move lol
Def at magic classes not high at all -.- maybe just u don't have enough max to kill some uber cleric lol... i can die easly by 7k max or 5k max and dark kylin in ca... could only say with my 40k hp i have VERY low def(around 2k on all buffs and lots)... champs with that hp would ahve 5-6k+ def already.

I Agree that damage in CA is terrible... A champ/crus/ can sit the magic class's damage in Ca... ~~Sometimes~~.. Everyday i chase a crus.. (wont mention name from Fantasia) in ca.. he runs from one side of the map to the other.. and while chasing him i've bolted him more thn 10 times... Where outside of CA i can 2-3 bolt the guy.. in Ca i cant even kill him by chasing him down... Bolt in Ca is ridiculous...

Instead of pr for magic damage.. can i suggest Spr difference.. ?

I agree that all magic classes are efficient outside CA , but inside their damage is low.

The code to calculate the damage inside CA is untouced and same as PKO files.

The reason for low bolt damage is because in CA the damage for magic classes is calculated with 2 formulaes -
-Damage done during PvE
-Damage done during PvP

PvE damage output is greater hence allowing magic classes deal lethal amount of bolt damage to NPCs.

PvP damage how ever is working the same way it works in official
The reason for low damage during actualy PvP is because , in official you dont see people with high level BD souls on their armor , but here most players have atleast lv 4+ BD souls (This reduces the bolt damage significantly)

About shields , surely they would add more balance to magic classes inside CA , but outside magic classes will become over powered with Lethal damage + High defence.

there are spr pots but once u spr poss the pots spr boost disapears e.e
im just asking for shields for the magic people T.T is that so hard admin ....wud make everything more fair T_T

That is infact very hard lol
Magic classes with shield will have bugged animations.
There will be no more bolting action

When they are bolting you just see the character standing there doing nothing.

Its not hard.

Actually, there are other pserver (cheapy ones) that have added shield to magic clases and their animations didnt get bugged.
To think of it, do you really think, right now, animations do matter?

Spiritual Bolt/Conch Ray/Buff/Curse animation are screwed since the reduction of cooldown time, so who will care about not seeing it?

It will cast the skill, its all that matters.

And yup, i was actually thinking about that too. But didnt encourage enough to suggest it.
I dont see anything bad in adding shield to magic classes, they are so underrated right now.

I think its a good idea, since they often forge their armors with spr gems, would be nice to let them get a bit more defense.

I can tell you which pserver developed that so you can jack their codes XD.

About survival, clerics survive less outside CA.

Lets state it this way.
There are a lot of legends. Legends have Lv9 BD Soul, Lv9 Undead, Lv9Great Colo.
What does the single legend cleric in server have? Lv9 BD Soul, Lv9 Light, Lv9 Great Soul (just assuming). Hat has obviously light and colos.
Magic clases just have forged 2 gems of Con. While other classes commonly have 4-5. And still their bolt sux.

Now you get the picture?

The animations are client sided

Astral you wouldnt care if the animations are gone cause you are a cruz
But if the animations are completely bugged then we will not added.

We havent tried this with 1H magic weapons . That is why the shields are added to
Updates (Test & Planning) section

in official i had a crus with corp bd armor which means 31 pr, + lv5 bd souls on armor, + lv5 bd souls on sheild, and when i go on pr neck my pr go around +70 pr. no crus could kill me other than overpowered mallers. while normal magic dealers with normal gems lvl could kill me.
so why a high gemmed magic dealer in bso cant kill a crus with +70 pr?

and talking about official, yes u dont c much people with +70 pr, but u also dont c any magic dealers with 800+ spr right ????
so it must be the same, they got higher pr here, we got much higher spr. so we r supposed to kill like we can kill in top if its as u saying the same files.

@Admin, what u mean by "bugged animation" ? that the skill doesnt work at all? or it works but we just dont c it? if thats the case its fine cuz most of us use animation tweaks anyway so we already dont c the animation xD
