Banning Appeal.

Hello Everyone, I am requesting for the ban to be lowered and I have a case about it.


Im fairly new in the server and I moved in from original TOP to here.

Original TOP became too boring for me because it was a dying server.

the reason that original TOP was dying is because the company(IGG) that holds it is a bit of a cash whore, so to speak.

and so, mallers would flourish and non-mallers would have nothing.
now for them to compete with the mallers, they did the "clubbing" buisness which allows everyone to raise reputation points and win rewards.

that was the cycle, seems like a good idea? no.
the game lost essence, it felt like "work" for everyone and so they decided to come less and less and eventually quit.


Now to get to the point...

the banning on this server is a one month ban.

I think that its rather too long, someone mentioned to me that this server was being deserted and less and less people are coming in.

I know how quick a turn like that can be, from an active server population of 300 people, in one week it can drop down to just 80 because people are quitting and I dont want that to happen to this server as well.

People who get banned for one month would find it unfair and of course if you're a moderator, you need to set standards and control people so they wont commit the crime again.

but these people has friends in-game and people are only encouraged to play in game if they have their friends with them, so if these people get banned for too long.

they'd eventually be bored, quit or come less often and this inevitably means that the server is on a dying path.


I dont know the exact banning time for the certain offenses but i'm well aware of what could happen when there are less people in the server.

people gets discouraged and eventually quit, i've seen it happen in TOP, it can happen here too.

P.s no, im not the real apo from mermaid, i just really liked the name. however i was from mermaid isle on real TOP.

Auto Arrest for dualling is different from Ban.

Most players understand that 1 hour of imprisonment after farming for a long time is worth the risk since they can farm 2x more shards by dualling and just go 1 hour afk in prison to get released(Not even considering the people who log 4-5 clients to dual)

If people abuse a system and get away with it, then more people will tend to follow. As long as it is a first warning, they can leave by simply contacting us and guaranteeing not to dual in Darkswamp again. Those who fail to under the simple system message spammed in DS : "WARNING: Using two or more characters in Darkswamp will get you banned." must get some kind of punishment. However punishment will be changed to 6 hours temporarily. If dualling gets worse, it will be reverted back.

agree GM.. 6 hours is big enough for them to realize how much farming time they lost.. but 1 month in prison is a bit over as a punishment.. knowing the server have a lot of players who cant read or understand english well,, and some are 10 years old and i know someone aged 7 too .. but yea i hope that the imprisonment time stays in 6 hours.. long enough for them to scream and hurt them selves for breaking rules.. hahaha~joking~ just like a time out "grounded" in real life XD

and also the mystic shards get taken soo its kinda too much but its ok....at least its not 1 month

I saw that there are less and less people playing EO. Every day it seems to be less players online, but maybe it's just me ;o
