Updater issue with Win7.

Is any other players having trouble starting the EO updater in Windows 7?
If so state your complaint here we are working on a fix for the issue and want to see if it is a large scale problem.

Fix: Windows 7 users please refrain from installing client in (C:) drive (In other cases, the drive that contains your system folders and programs files), re-installing the client to any other drive should sort out the issue.

what if i dont have any other drives ._. ??? that mean i cant play?

getting a 2nd hdd is cheap now a days i have 3 in my comp

donna i installed client on win 7 fine try it and run it as admin

I installed in Win7 and it worked perfectly (I installed the game at D drive, and allowing 'Full Control' on the folder properties might help)

It is very unlikely that a personal computer would not have a second partition or HDD, due to a numerous reasons such as Data backup, Security (Encrypting personal data without encrypting your system files) , Easy Organization and Multi-Booting if you tend to run more than 1 OS. I said the above statement because at least one or more of the mentioned reasons are most common for the majority of PC owners and even Laptop users, we don't have the resources or the time to hunt down each and every single possible fix, so please do your part to see if you can make it work by yourself if you cant then it is a completely different matter and we will aid you shortly, sarcasm is not the best way to express your problems.

NOT having a second partition drive does NOT mean that you can't play lol !
Install Eternals Online client can be installed anywhere (But if it doesn't work in Windows 7 try installing in another location.

And Chris its not even a "Bug" to be fixed
Its just the AUC blocking new applications

i wasn't being sarcastic to you... ? i really dont have a 2nd driver. and i did try. i ran as admin at first it didnt work thn i tried again and it said some weird display thing and my cilent just auto closed... ?

i seriously dont see how asking a simple question is being sarcastic. i was just asking a question because it did not work. As much as you dont have as much time to try and fix my problem or w/e. i do not have time to play sarcastic games with you.

because you used a "what if "scenario to write a short sentence not describing the error in anyway, which did not explain the cause of the problem thus i noticed a hint of sarcasm and its completely unnecessary to talk that way. State your problem in detail like you did above that way you will save us both time and effort to figure out what error it could be from a list of many that is all.

Like i said again.. did i mean to be sarcastic, no ... but becus of the random pop up message from above, icant install microsoft net or sumthing too. It said go to turn on or off function on control plane and I did.. it didt work wht soever... and I have microsoft net 3.5.1. But its tryin to install 3.5 .... becus of tht the game.. isn't working for me... and my other guildie.
That IS my problem.. just becus I use wht if it doesn't mean I'm being sarcastic.....? But anyway.. my pc crashed and I'm reformmating it soon.. and if I can't install it then. Then the problem probably isn't with me... ithink.

Its a windows configuration problem. Get Teamviewer 6 and ill fix it for you directly.

Install .NET 4 from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/confirmation.aspx?id=17718

No errors at all for me now!! All patches getting updated fine!
With .NET 3.5 i got some errors. Im using Win 7 fyi

The patch 1002 gets downloaded fully.
But exactly after that i get this error



When i click Re-Install Patches the launcher goes "Not Responding"

I have Win 7. I have logged as Admin. I have .NET 4.
Any other info u want to help me out ??

The "Launch" button never shows up!
I cant get In-Game cuz of this!

There is no Direct launch that i can use to get in-game without the Launcher??

to solve this problem. uncheck all the box at microsof.net 3.5.1 at turn window feature on or off at programs at control panel.restart pc if its said so. then try to relaunch back the dotnet framework 3.5. then wait until it said same error(if its show. on mine it show up). then launch the launcher. i think it will be ok already.

GUYS IF YOU ALREADY HAVE FRAME WORK 2.0 OR ABOVE ITS FINE !
You can cancel the last setup for .NET frame work if your PC has it already

The updater should update itself to be compatible with Windows 7 64 bit
