[Suggestion] Radical changes to the price of Kylin Sets :P

This suggestion is based on the fact that the Eternal Kylin set (Ek set) and the Dark Kylin set (DK set) is very common compared to the Frozen Kylin set (FK set), Holy Kylin set (HK set), Corporeal Kylin set (Corp Kylin set) and Kylin set.

1. Increase EK set's price
   
2. Increase DK set's price
   
3. Lower HK set's price
   
4. Slightly lower FK and HK set's price
   
5. Slightly lower Corp Kylin set's price
   
6. Slightly lower Kylin set's price
   
7. Lower BD set's price

Reasoning to suggested changes:

1. As stated at the beginning of this post, the Eternal Kylin set is just way too common. End-game stats are not that hard to achieve with the current prices and increasing this price will hopefully discourage people from buying this set and rather buy FK or HK or even DK set.
   
2. Also stated at the beginning of this post,the Dark Kylin set is actually more rare than the EK set (as far as I've seen) but it's effects are still too powerful for it's price. The higher price will also increase the demand of the HK/FK and Corp Kylin sets.
   
3. The change will increase FK's and HK's currently low demand.
   
4. Increasing the price difference between Corp Kylin and Eternal Kylin will reflect the difference in the awesomeness levels of the different sets.
   
5. Same reason as the last point.
   
6. BD set is rather underused in this server so lowering the price will hopefully change that.

More Reasons for the changes to be implemented:

1. The price changes will increase the amount of effort needed to end-game status. As of now, the only thing that is preventing others from reaching end-game is gems. It is costly to get to +27 with all the eq's but the fact that it is actually accomplishable by more than one player would remove part of reaching end-game's awesomeness.
   
2. More profit for GM's if trend of buying EK sets doesn't change. It also would mean more profit for GM's if the trend changes as more people would want to spend a tiny amount to buy a set they always wanted like an FK set or a Corp Kylin set, rather than full-on malling.
   
3. More colours in-game, white-gold,blue,red-gold and red kylins worn by people.
   
4. More variety in PvP and more interesting SW's as more people have effects such as FK or HK.
   
5. Increases life-span of server.

Disadvantages:

1. Buffers would be less relied upon
   
2. The gap between the pros and the newbs will be increased and it is much harder to work up for non-mallers. Simply malling around $30 would massively change your character's level of awesomeness, and this leads back to more profit for the GM's. People who wouldn't normally mall would now mall more and people who would usually go all in would think twice.
   
3. Going all in would be much more costly then before. (So we actually can see different levels of pro-ness in the server, refer to "more variety in PvP")
   
4. More work for GM's.

Dark kylin is used for dmg dealing class whereas holy kylin and frozen benefits the magical class.

theres only a handful of "pro" magical ppl because every1 wants to either be: -
champion,crus, or sharpshooter.
therefore you wouldnt see a mass load of holy kylin or frozen kylin.

of Gm do that then they will lose profit o.o

and the reason why there is soo many EK now because with EK, they can get all the kylin effects instead of buying dk set and Hk helm.... and 185 DC (if im not mistaken xD) is high enough o.o

eternal sets prices r high enough, we could afford them but some people cant really afford and can hardly get them so i dnt think anything should be higher prices, its a game after all and lets not forget its a private server..

and lets not forget that TOP is one of the most expensive games between all other mmo games anyway-.-

Holy kylin may be useful for spellcasters but wouldn't it be more useful on a crus or ss (they can't buff themselves)?

As for the EK set, the price 185 DC isn't too high considering that there's no time limit on the EK set so it will stay your until the server restarts or dies. It is a piece of equipment that's the best in the server and it's quite easy to obtain, considering the fact that people spend much more just gemming up eq's. What the suggestions are trying to do is to make the game experience last longer and therefore increasing the lifespan of the server because at the current rate, the server's gonna burn itself up quite quickly.

server has been running for 3 years. EK sets price is good enough if you increase it there would be a higher chance that people wouldnt buy it and btw only few people have EK sets so whats the problem with that? o.o

185$ isnt too high for a set in a private server? if its more than that id rather go buy myself a dress for 185$+ instead of a game set -.-

I'm just putting my suggestion out there. Maybe if they don't like the idea, it will spark another idea or something. I do think that the set is too cheap but I guess many others don't. It really depends on where you're at, what your economical/social status is and all that so opinions would have to vary no matter what. But for me, a person living in Canberra, Australia's capital city, the EK set is too cheap.

exactly, depends on where u live, 185$ might be a cheap amount for u, or me, or someone else. but its expensive for others, so why make it easy for us and hard for others? just keep the game fair.

No matter what the price is, the international status of this server would make it impossible to 'keep the game fair'. If you want fairness you would have to implement a tracker for every player in EO to determine the 'right' price for the person depending on his/her location. Tracking people would not only be compromising privacy but it would take a lot of time from the GMs in developing it to suit the server and to block even the most common workarounds. Even if this tracking device is implemented properly, personal issues (financial, social, etc) would go against the idea of equality in terms of the psychological perception of the prices on the server.

What my suggestion is doing is making the EK set expensive for everyone, rather than just the people who are financially insecure or those people who don't want to spend. The degree to which it is expensive is variable but at least most people would describe it as "pricey" rather than having a rather large proportion think it slightly above affordable.

I'm actually supporting your point. We shouldn't make it easy for us and hard for others but since we can't make it easy for everyone, we should make it hard for everyone. At least there's some sense of equality and fairness in those terms.

let me say 185dc in my country is about 8000 pesos =)
so it isnt cheap here.haha

185 x 43 = 7,955 or 8,000 pesos....
