Alternative to Reputation farming

Currently reputation is leading to a lot of issues

Firstly, its unfair. Those people who can run many clients make tons of reputation. I see people with 2-3 Million REP unused in their characters and they say its from 3\4 days if farming only ! Also everyday around 250-750 reputation newbie chars are made ! This wastes a lot of space eventually !

THIS SYSTEM WILL NOT BE CONTINUED AFTER THE SERVER UPGRADE

So that calls for discussion of an alternative that would be more fairer.

One such alternative suggestions was Vote-for-Credits !
This has two advantages
1) The server gets the votes and that will massively increase server population.
2) Continuous growth. Since when more people who come due to the high votes for the server will also start voting, the result will cause a book in the server rank and boost it back to Rank 1 where be belong

The Vote-For-Credits reward players one credit for every vote they make (From a specific Ip every 12 hours)

These votes can be used to purchase special items that we place in the reward mall(THIS WILL BE ACCESSIBLE FROM THE VOTING TOOL AND NOT FROM INGAME)
You can redeem your rewards by exchanging your vote credits and we will deliver it ingame

actually i dont think it is unfair. just like people pay for dc to be stronger people pay good money for a high performance computer.

also just because they can open many clients doenst mean they can farm alot of rep. you need to have a good character to be efficient in farming rep otherwise you are better of farming in DA

my suggestion would somehow have the disciples being created deleted on a weekly basis.

Tons of characters get bugged because their rep goes above 1.4m also.
The current costs a player absolutely nothing (maybe 250k for nana and amps only since they use the sandbag isle)

Even if the characters are deleted in a weekly basic they create lag gaps in character indexes which will lead to errors and bugging characters.

The system has to be removed. What we need to do here is to discuss an alternative

what changes will there be made about the REP thing? becouse i like it of how it is, hope u wont have to make something that make us REP farmer cant farm rep normally.

Well if Rep for newbies get removed, then CA entry rep fees will be removed as well. But the votes should either
-Give rep per vote
OR
-Give specific vote credits (Which can be used to redeem or bid for donation\special items

Hmm vote for credit is goood but how many votes per day can we do?
btw reward prices should remain in player reach .......don't make it like sw reward prices

You can get SW equips in a month. And as for eternal weapons, they are the end game weapons (Which isnt even available for donation)

how many azrael can u buy per vote? Because if it's only 1 azrael per 4-5 day of votes i think people won't bother voting

aw., i think its not unfair.... even though they can open many clients to palv disciples, they have worked hard for that reputation and making disciples and palving them takes effort and time... and opening 5 clients to palv disciples sucks, cus the game will surely lagg like hell cus of the many clients......even though we get lots of reputation we worked hard to gain it so for me its not unfair.... its nor our problem that their computer sucks.....

Well if u remove the whole REP thing from lvling newbies then how will we get az gems and the bing gems. Ur gonna put them on a npc?

i think gm said donation items too,,,,so its not just azaraels

Im asking for suggestions on the new system and you are still whining about the current messed up system.

Suggest alternatives instead

Either way you go, vote for (something) system needs to be implemented as server is loosing rankings (and new players) day by day, BSO is the best PS i've seen yet, and it does deserve 1st slot, it's just that other servers are gaining votes through similiar methods.

what about the vote system and the system like in TOP? where u stay online for a certain amount of time during the week/day (cant remember) and u get rep according to ur lvl..

But Azraels cant be completely dependent on Votes ..

I guess Hat\Utility gems can still stay on Rep npc (as the demand is not that high) This wont flood the database with alt chars. People will make enough rep for them from just farming newbies itself.

But Azraels gets need to be available ingame through a secondary way (Other than voting)

Maybe thats a good idea. But cant be a priority source cause how much they can make will be limited and yet again those who can run multi clients can open tons of accounts to farm it. I personally can open 17 top clients from my pc and its just an average machine.

At least this wont create 250-750 newbie alts daily

Make the sandbags drop reputation books that give bonus reputation when consumed, different bonus's of rep per level of sandbag and disable the mentoring system completely.

some test's will need to be done to figure out a balanced method, so that it won't be too hard or too easy, but at least people won't be creating mass's of disciples.

there are other things that could be done as well, but this is the foundation of the idea, the rest i will leave up to your imagination

Directly for gold is bad. Tons of people have 50-100 + billions in their bankers. It will just take them one day to get Azrael gems lv9 :\

How about Azrael gems for RP ?
Exchange rate could be less but that means people will logs tons of newbies and take them to sit idle in SW =|

Lots of this would have been possible, but damn these abusers !

if Gm will disable the mentoring system then the newbies will have even more hard time to palv

not from RP.. SW is just abused by lots of people.. i prefer to stick to vote rewards, lets say you can get an azrael per vote.. since you limit IP everyone will still get 2 az per day

People with dynamic ip can make tons. Around 100 azrael gems for 100 votes xD
It will only take them a small amount of time. Just an hour for 100 gems if they get 1 az per vote and they have a dynamic ip

System is abusable, I get a new IP every time I reset my modem, that's without using 3rd party programs.

70% of the people get that.
So azraels have to be available ingame. Not through voting

I think making the sandbag monsters drop reputation books or having them give reputation through system, such as;

-kill level 4 sandbag-
[System] XXXXX exp gained, XXX reputation gained

even new players are able to get reputation by killing level 1-3 sandbags, so no-one misses out and they can gain gems/gold whilst leveling themselves.

hmmm how about u can get azrael through quest?? make it not so easy but not so tough???

yyyyeaaa!!!!! now i can defintely just keep one client open and blast thoose sbs to death!

If every strong players goes to kill sandbags, there wont be any bags for newbies to kill xD

How about a CHANCE of dropping a reputation book for CA\SW pk. These books give high rep depending on book lv

lv 1- 5000 k rep
lv 2- 7500 k rep
lv 3- 10000 k rep
lv 4- 25000 k rep
lv 5- 50000 k rep

Chance of getting higher level Books is low

if sandbags drop repu then the sandbag isle will be flooded by abusers o.o and the newbies will get KS by the abusers

u can also make it as a quest for rep GM
a quest with a rep for a reward

Make it like top, a limited zone for example max 1h a day (not sure which maze is like that in top atm) after 1h inside you kicked out automaticly.

How about Azreal chests for PK ? Instead of rep !

The chance for getting each of the azrael gem is 20%.
That means if you are lucky you can get more than one gem from a chest !

You can get from 0-5 random azrael gems from a chest

Chest is given to player randomly during Sw pk

Why the hell do we need rep !

Let it be for pk and doing something fun ! Instead of hitting mobs for hours and hours !

then Gm only those Legend are gonna farm those chest :X i remembered an event that u gave use which the donators and non donators worked hard to get in the center of Pk Map where the azrael chests Lies when we got passed the obstacles the legends just killed us all and some legend didnt even helped in defeating the obstacles and they killed us all.... we cant even touch them cus theyre to strong

I mean a chest you get in your inventory ! Maybe it could a summon scroll to SUMMON an Azreal chest mob anywhere you want! You can kill the chest and farm it at any convenient spot without KS !

oh., so how many players can get it during SW??

DS should get soemthing to be worth going in, theres dw and 2x fc... DS just useless...

i Like idea of getting chest through pk but that will be abused in a big way

oly pro players wil be able to kil chests...what about newbies?

by summon scroll ,you mean we could summon it anywhere outside argent or MO or wherever....
