hi. and i got problem forging lvl 5 azz gem..

i tried forging lvl 5 undead on armor with lvl 5 ref with 10 catalysts, 10 fruits.(nothing else added, no poss, no hi amp) 5 times all fail.
then someone said if you forge, you have to have higher level ref.. i wonder if its true.
Like if you'll forge lvl 5 undead with lvl 6 ref, it'll have +5% success.. every level difference gives 5%.. ex. lvl 5 undead and lvl 9 ref = +20% success..
however, i tried forging lvl 5 aggre with lvl 8 ref gem on gloves with 10 cata, 10 fruits and poss and still failed.
im really confused and idk what to do..

and i also need techniques/tips before forging .. like how many fruits/cata should i eat.. or should i use poss/hi amp/zerk pots before forging?

PS: is it true that forging lvl 5 azz gem is harder than forging lvl 6? Shocked

Well.. Forging azz is really really hard.
But i can tell u that GM wrote u should use:
1 fruit then 1 cata(in that order) > gem > every higher lv ref=5% more.
U can always use poss (but before using fruits etc).

and hey btw, if you do the 1 fruit 1 cata in order thingy correctly you'll get 90% success rate for lvl 5 right? what if you also got lvl 9 ref gem? so it will have +20% more success rate.. is that fine or should i not go over 100% ??

alright, i just forged lvl 5 undead with lvl 7 ref gem on armor awhile ago.. used 1 fruit > 1 cata (in that order).. still failed.

i used lvl 7 ref cuz i was wondering if you use fruit/cata correctly you'll get 90% success.. then +2 level difference of gem and ref = +10%.. so it'll be 100%.. i dont understand why i failed..

56b wasted GM.. how much more?

First thing khymieyee,forging is good as i see now i've just forged a lv6 and a lv7 azz gem 2 hours ago with same lvl ref because higher lvl refs dont work anymore. Added that ur character cant be bugged in forging as i've asked GM Connor about that and he said "it cant possibly happen",also you should try using these tips while forging lv5-7 azz/bd gems .1) Repair ur eq that u will forge 2)Buffs then poss 3)Amp,20 fruit,20 cata and forge while auto buffed.I usually succeed while doing this,i hope you succeed as well and goodluck^^!

Its is true, I never failed lvl 6 and I did 4x, but I've failed a lot on lvl 4-5 hahaha

i guess forging with higher lvl ref bugs you and fails you.. 20 fruit/20 cata dont work. i guess 1 fruit > 1 cata works. Smile and hi-amp decreases your success rate too.. i dunno really lol

GM post ABSOLUTLY not right!! i forge lvl 5 azz gem 2 times in row,using ref lvl 7 and use fruit and cata should be 90% but in fact is 100% failed!!!!
GM PLEASE CHECK again ur system is not right =.=

Using higher level refining gems does not increase success chance
Given below is the forging rates in effect-
