Remove the bloody study book!

There are like 200 people online and if you look at how many are active, it's like 50-60 max. The rest are just fucking sitting around 5x clienting with study book.
It's fucking stupid, remove the book!

i agree but if we take it out i don t know what would be the effect on the people in the server

I added it because newbies were crying all the time saying that no one helps them
One we have functional features to help newbies get strong on their own , we will remove it.

Dont remove the book. I like it. Yes there are a lot of ppl who go afk with it but thats the best they can do to make money. Im using it for now just until i can get money to buy decent eqs then im going to farm. That may be the case of other people too, if u remove it u could possibly be making a new friend or a foe quit :X

I don't think that people would actually quit because we take the study book away. It's not like people are sitting in argent having "fun" with the study book.
It's just a lazy persons way of making money, it pisses me off.

while I'm here farming my cute butt off, some people are just logging 7 clients and cash in 7k/second.

The ones that are actually serious and ambitious, will know how to make money. The rest will quit eventually anyway.

It was added to help those people who JUST started sever . I always complain that no one helps them =(

how abt u add club system here also like newbie need to lvl up to 80 that way u can give newbies bit of cash and maybe a mangeta chest so they can strt off well with a decent weapon and u can also add lvl 70 stones frame/claw/paw but make sure the price of equips from mangeta chest is arnd 10k only so ppl lvling dont strt abusing it
once the newbie doses 2nd class promotion only than he can open the chest atleast u will help them have decent equips to strt of with

Ok well i agree with laladin. Add the lv70 weapon chests to newbie box and make it low priced.

IF REMOVING BOOK, HOW WILL NEW MAGIC CLASSES GET MONEY TO GET SOME BASIC GEMS AND EQUIPS. They're not like crus, SS or champ that rely on high DPS melee atk. And magic classes get owned at FC 2 at farming. Especially on beginning. This is not including voys since they can mass plvl disciple and is mostly about Spiritual Bolt users ^^

But don't go whining about "you know nothing about magic " cos I tried all 3 classes and at the end still quited to SS.

Have you ever tried to lvl a magic class solo with no bags or mentor? Or just starting a new character on the level of non donator newbie? I did and it it's like going through all 9 circles of hell. Especially if you are caster.

So I suggest not removing book, unless you find another way for magic classes to farm money.

I have already suggested that you would make items on spring island worth 200k. But as Lisa said there are ways for champ to mass farm Beautiful Chests. So I would suggest maybe making some "ordinary" item dropped from Fox Spirits making like 150k - 250k. THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION !

That is just one idea for what solution would be needed if you remove the book.

Studying is how I started to build my crus, without that i'd have already quitted the server. Study book is what differs us from rest of ps in my opinion. Maybe setting a studying limit per week to each IP address qould solve the problem.

First of all, I know how hard it is cause in real TOP I was a cleric myself.
Secondly, if you know that it's gonna be hard, maybe you should consider choosing another class?
The key to becoming a successful Cleric/SM is to have friends, and it is to be hard working.
How many times have you seen a Cleric level up on its own? 1 time? Never?

The herbalistbranch is a supportive, offensively weak, yet very crucial in terms of supporting class.
It's not made to be able to farm like a Crusader, Sharpshooter or a Voyager.

It is most definitely not the class you'd want to start out with, unless you know a few meleers from the beginnning.

Spring Isle Spirits should be revalued to about 50-100k. I like that idea, the only ones that can actually go there to farm are... *BABAA!* Herbalists.

The Clerics and Sealmaster won't ever be good at farming, which is why an island, where only magic users can survive, should be created. Maybe not even created, just re-made. Take an insignificant island and re-make it, so that herbalist can farm.

You'd be insanely stupid to think that you could level alone, not even the crusader do that.

I think the normal exp is like TOP * 7, while the Party experience is TOP * 10.
You'd be stupid to miss out on that.
Clerics and Sealmasters are supporting chars, it's how they're made, it's how they should be.

First of all, I didn't start off as a maller.

If I remember it right, you're a crusader, that means, you can VERY easily farm in DS, FC, DW or even in CA if it's empty. Yet no, you rather just log 5 clients and sit on it, until you get enough money to buy something, then you press the insert button and sit back down again.

I struggled all the way up to a full death set, 2 DE swords, a + 8 str neck.
Lv 5 UG all over Lv 2 azrael's WITHOUT malling.

I know EXACTLY how boring, hard and annoying it is.

I agree that there should be a better way to make money, I really do.

BUT! You should have to work for it, seeing as how it is now, as I said earlier, log a few clients, then go to school, get back home and watch your money grow as you sit on your chair, playing Scrabble with your aunt on MSN.

I got a suggestion for tis...i donno tis help anot but i think it better than book.

make a npc wit quest, the quest can take again n again. that require u to farm some items, then u will get reward for it.

the player who wan to do the quest can actually choose which 1 he wan.
1. 10k quest (loot some lvl 1 monster drop. e.g monster around argent/shaitan/icicle.)
2. 100k quest (loot some lvl 60 monster drop. e.g monster at isle fortune)
3. 1m quest (loot something from lone tower?)
4. 10m quest (loot something from BD lair?)
5. 100m quest (loot something from ca monster or watever it is hard...)

I just give some example...if admin really take tis suggestion... may be admin should think for the monster for quest.

The quest system is also very unique and could be a solution \ alternative. We need to discuss the issue is more detail before coming to a conclusion .

And the Studybook wasnt made for people to make Alt's and farm money being afk x.x

If someone remembers, in top when you heal someone you receive exp. So why don't we put,instead of exp, some gold? Like 500g ea idk?

Anyway, about me choosing a magic class: I always play against the tide, cos if server has only Crus and SS and maybe 1/5 champ + buffers it's way better to go play official ToP since it's no fun that way

Herbalist is meant as a root class.

Its like saying swordsman has Illusion Slash. That does not mean crus and champ dont have it... it just means all classes that "evolve" from swordsman have IS.
Its just shorter for saying cleric and SM together.

Another example is saying pokemon evolve. You can say "Pokemon evolve in better form as they level up" or you can tell name of each specific pokemon and to what does it evolve. Now think what would be a better way huh? ^^

And just for further info you dont have to teach me about magic classes since I have played them everywhere except 1x crus 1x SS

I did not say your idea is bad, but if you think about it (you must have some knowlage about how to play herbie most effective) you will realize no1 will auto cast heal on beginning to get 500g each time.

Its better going to wack some mobs (bolt has quite good base damage) and just sell drops to NPC.

Maybe you dont know but I have made a topic about how to make farming for magic classes easier. Go check it in basket before you say I dont think what to say in my posts.

So Ive come up with few ideas or I will "edit" some ideas that were posted before.

- Make a map that only cleric and SM lower than lets say lv91 can enter
It would have mobs from spring isle and they would drop something that would have quite high NPC price.

- Increase the damage bolt deals on NPC mobs for players lv<75 (like give it boost from BD effect).
That would easen farming and even make it easyer to FC characters to kill Drake (Im not saying they will solo it but I know from my fc days I bolted him 2.3k with lv51 mjr poss and non gemmed kylin set + low gemmed lv45 uns staff) -> best option in my opinion.

- Ask Lisa about SPR gems having a 10% discount like it was on old BSO (not recommened just an option ^^)


And BTW dont go saying I dont have to write whole novels like Astral, since I quited the game but will stay active on forum and try to help with suggestions and info XD
