Physical Resistance [Official]
Despite all the controversies and rumors spread by some players, today
we will explain the facts about Physical Resistance that many players
are unaware about.

Physical Resistance means, the damage caused by an attack is reduced by 1% per Physical Resistance value. For example 50 Physical Resistance means that the damage is reduced by 50% while 10 Physical Resistance reduces damage by 10%.
-Problems
Physical Resistance in Official is capped at 85 PR, after which any additional Physical Resistance is rendered useless.
Eg. A player with 86 PR will only receive 85 PR bonus, same as a player with 100 PR who will also receive only 85 PR.
The Physical Resistance limit (85 PR) was removed from the base server
files long before Eternals Online or its predecessor had started. This
was because players were able to forge Soul of Black Dragon gems on head
gear. This led to players reaching Physical Resistance values as high
as 100 PR. This meant that the character would receive 100% damage
resistance, completely rendering the attacks on them useless.
So the old server developers removed the PR Cap limit from the base server and the damage
calculation formulas were adjusted so 1 Physical Resistance will provide 0.5%
Damage reduction instead of 1%.
When using these server files for the new server, (Eternals Online's
predecessors) the PR damage reduction was returned back to 1% per PR value, BUT the Physical
Resist cap was not added back. This worked without issues because the server did not
allow Soul of Black dragon gem to be forged onto head gear anymore and items which provide PR bonuses were limited, which meant
that players will only reach up to 70-83 PR at maximum.
Years passed and with time, the original rules for setting Physical Resistance was forgotten or ignored.
New features were added to further increase Physical Resistance
-Godness Rings(Upto 3 PR)
-Rebirth (Upto 12 PR)
-PR Necklaces (Upto 6 PR)
-Shields (Upto 16 PR)
-Soul of Black Dragon (Upto 27 PR)
-Angela Junior (Upto 3 PR)
-Spirit Pets (Upto 2 PR)
-High grade Kylin\Grandiose sets (Upto 35 PR)
-110% Apparel upgrade bonus (Upto 8 PR)
ie. A total of 112 Physical Resistance is currently achievable in Eternals Online. Anyone who achieves Resistance even higher than 85 PR can be considered Invulnerable.
Eventually this will create a server like the first predecessor of Eternals Online where the concept of PK will be in-computable and players cannot kill each other.
-Solutions
We could simply add the PR cap at 85 hurting all players with Physical
Resist values higher than 85 by wasting their time, effort and money which they spent for reaching this high PR value.
This would be an easy and convenient solution, but at the cost of donators and old players losing the fruits of their hard work and effort.
And this is not a shortcut we are willing to take.
We intend to create another solution for the crisis. Much like the predecessor developers, we would create our own damage calculation formula where the bonus from 1 Physical Resistance will be modified in such a way that players of all grades, will be affected evenly.
This requires a very complex formula so no class of players are terribly affected. And the creation and modification of this formula takes times and with patience and comes great rewards.
-Changes
PR Bonuses are divided into five layers.
1-60 PR
61-70 PR
71-80 PR
81-100 PR
101-120 PR
Each layer will provide a different damage reduction bonus and the final damage is calculated by applying the damage from all five applicable onto a separate formula.
These changes are inevitable and the final result would be a fair and long lasting PK server where no player is invulnerable, and yet players of the same grade can still kill each other.
More details on the calculation formula will be revealed when the final formula is finalized

Wow good job GM team, although you did get a few facts on PR wrong and you spelt finalized wrong (probably intentionally). I appreciate how much hard work you're putting into really customizing this server! Keep going!
